Job Description
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Your duties will include managing general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and supporting audits. You will collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Prepare and maintain financial records and statements.Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.Support internal and external audits.Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.Provide financial analysis and reporting to management.Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance1 to 3 years of experience in higher education accounting/accounts receivable and/or office administrationStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeAnalytical skills and knowledge of general ledger accountingDetail-oriented and well-organizedAbility to work under pressure and interact well with a variety of people within the college communityHigh integrity to handle confidential informationPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.64 - $30.26/hr.
