The Staff Accountant will ensure local finance and accounting tasks, including daily and month-end bank reconciliations for multiple companies are executed in an accurate and timely fashion. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that bank transactions are accurate, up-to-date and compliant with Albireo’s standards. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and or as necessary.

Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts across Albireo in a timely manner, while ensuring accuracy. Review and reconcile discrepancies between bank statements and the general ledger. Thoroughly investigate and resolve discrepancies and errors in a timely manner. Prepare and maintain accurate records of bank transactions and adjustments. Assist in the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting across Albireo. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations regarding bank accounts. Maintain and improve reconciliation processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Maintain sound accounting and financial practices and procedures and strive to present accurate, factual reports across Albireo. Perform ad hoc reporting including in-depth analysis as requested. Adjust and adapt as circumstances change. Add value in a rapidly growing company. Handle other duties and projects as needed including journal entries, reconciliations and month end close activities.
