Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in NEW YORK, New York. This role is integral to our expanding business in the construction industry, specifically in Mechanical Engineering and Zoning. As a Staff Accountant, you will be a key player in our Controllers group, assisting with daily accounting tasks and monthly close procedures using QuickBooks. Responsibilities: • Assisting with the monthly closing processes and year-end audits. • Conducting account analysis and reconciliations. • Performing bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. • Preparing and analyzing balance sheets. • Utilizing QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite for various accounting tasks. • Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Monitoring and updating the General Ledger. • Preparing and posting Journal Entries. • Handling the Month End Close process. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management • Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) and related operations • Demonstrated experience in Bank Reconciliations • Thorough understanding of General Ledger management and maintenance • Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries accurately • Experience in Month End Close procedures • Competency in using NetSuite for financial management tasks • Familiarity with Oracle financial software applications • Proficiency in QuickBooks for accounting and payroll tasks • Knowledge of SAP financial software and its practical application in accounting tasks Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
