An exciting opportunity has arisen for a staff accountant – Cash and Asset Management position to work for North American Finance Service Centre (NAFSC) as one of three Finance Service Centers at Rolls-Royce and a part of Finance Operations in Global Business Services.  The Finance Service Centers provide transactional finance support for and on behalf of Rolls-Royce Finance and the wider business. With departments of Financial Accounting and Reporting (FA&R), Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), the service canters are integral to Rolls-Royce's finance strategy in ensuring that transactional finance processes are delivered efficiently and effectively both to meet customer requirements and in order to enable scalable future growth and expansion.

The NAFSC Staff Accountant - Cash and Asset Management position responsibilities will involve daily cash accounting and reporting, interaction with other teams and personnel within the NAFSC, asset management reporting, and other duties related to financial reporting.

Key Accountabilities:

Recording daily cash transactions and preparing weekly cash report and preparing and/or reviewing miscellaneous payments in online banking systemsApplying appropriate level of professional scepticism to all financial transactions and task proposed transactions, as necessary, to ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and group policyPerforming regular bank account reconciliations. Reconciliations should be completed as a key financial internal coordinate as well as provide meaningful financial management information to finance business partnersReviewing, developing, evaluating, and modifying specific accounting procedures to ensure continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer servicePrepare journal entries, load HFM and work on STAT reporting, Perform Fixed Asset reportingAssist with month-end and year-end close, internal, and external audit requests, and other ad hoc projects as required

Basic Requirements:

Associate degree with 3+ years in finance/accounting experience OR,Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years finance/accounting experience OR,Master’s Degree finance/accounting experience OR,Experience in Lieu of degree with 5+ years in finance/accountingTo be eligible for consideration, you should be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
