Description STAFF ACCOUNTANT - Residential Construction Company in Norcross My client, a residential homebuilder in Norcross, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational knowledge of accounting, 1+ years of relevant experience, and a degree in accounting or finance. Experience in the construction industry is ideal but not required. Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is beneficial. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in preparing financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. + Support the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger to ensure accurate financial data. + Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and collections. + Support payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees. + Provide assistance during annual audits, gathering and preparing necessary documentation. + Help analyze costs and expenses and assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings. + Perform basic financial and variance analysis to support decision-making. + Contribute to identifying areas for process improvement in accounting functions. + Utilize accounting software for data management and financial reporting. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 1+ years of relevant accounting experience (experience in the construction industry is a plus). + Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. + Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. + Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
