Description Our government client is seeking a Staff Accountant with strong knowledge in government finance and grant accounting. This role will involve managing financial and budgetary aspects of state, federal, and privately funded grants. Responsibilities: + Record all financial transactions and perform budgeting for assigned grants. + Prepare monthly closing entries, financial statements, forecasts, and other financial reports. + Ensure compliance of all accounting and financial reporting functions for government and grant-required audits. + Create, manage, and reconcile all grant budgets in compliance with grant agreements. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. + Minimum of 3 years' experience in governmental or grant accounting. + Strong knowledge of grant financial management and reporting. + In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards.
