Cvent, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant for our Tysons Corner, VA or Dallas, TX office. The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of daily accounting activities related to the general ledger and will assist in the month end close process, annual audits. The Staff Accountant will prepare a variety of account and bank reconciliations, perform account analysis, and assist with recurring and ad hoc reporting. The Staff Accountant will also work on special projects, prepare schedules for our external auditors and work with other staff and our internal auditors to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. We are looking for someone who has worked with an integrated accounting software package and has strong Excel knowledge. In This Role, You Will: Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts Prepare bank reconciliations Prepare and review journal entries Prepare and review flux analysis Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process Conduct monthly closing activities to ensure proper and timely financial reporting Assist with special projects Perform other duties as required by the Global Controller, Assistant Controller and Accounting Managers Here's What You Need: 2+ years of General Ledger experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required CPA (or working towards a CPA license) is strongly preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency Good at working independently and thinking critically Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines Working knowledge of financial statements Proficient in Microsoft Office products - strong Excel skills Experience using Oracle is a plus Physical Demands We are not able to offer sponsorship for this position.
