The staff accountant plays an important role in the management of financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and assisting with the preparation of financial statements for Rural King Real Estate and Development.

Assist in preparation and maintenance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulationsPrepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingSupport the monthly close process, providing insight and analysis on variances from budget and prior periodsPerform regular reconciliations of bank statements to maintain accurate financial recordsAid in budgeting process by providing necessary financial data and analysisAssist with requests for documentation and explanations of financial resultsMaintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reportingIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiencyUse discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalismMay be required to cross train and perform other duties Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field1-2 years of accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareHighly proficient in Microsoft ExcelExcellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent negotiation and conflict resolution skillsDemonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailBehaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
