The staff accounting analyst will be responsible for calculating monthly LOE accruals and working with Operations teams to review, analyze and understand monthly gross and net LOE, under the direct supervision of the Supervisor. This position requires strong attention to detail and research skills, as well as a high degree of accuracy. The position also requires effective communication skills as well as the ability to pick up on new concepts quickly, with appropriate instructions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and calculate monthly LOE accrualsReview and analyze net LOE trends to facilitate better oversight and understanding for accounting and operations teamsEvaluate LOE for potential coding errors and provide correctionsAnalyze and explain monthly LOE varianceAssist with the preparation of monthly LOE presentation slidesCollaborate with Operations on needed information and assisting with their accounting questionsPrepare monthly account reconciliationsOther duties or ad hoc projects as assignedRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Finance, Accounting, or similar disciplineThree (3+) years of Oil and Gas accounting experienceThree (3+) years of experience in Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelPreferred Qualifications:
SAP experience preferredHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailGood problem solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to operate both independently and as part of a team Flexible regarding workload and priorities Ability to pick up on new concepts with guidanceEffective communication skills to work with all levels of the organizationPossess a positive and team-oriented attitudeRelocation:
