Summary About the Position: This position is located within an intermediate management organization that provides management and administrative oversight and support to the Defense Health Network West (DHN W) Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF) aligned to it to ensure the delivery of integrated, affordable and high quality healthcare to beneficiaries in accordance with the Defense Health Agency's (DHA) priorities of great outcomes, ready medical force, satisfied patients, and fulfilled staff. Responsibilities Serve as the Workflow Manager and as the Primary DHN W Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) Manager. Responsible for office tasks and staff level guidance to monitor the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reports, policy directives, correspondence, internal and external taskers and training. Direct and overseee operations of administration and management functions for DHN W to include workflow management, correspondence management, records management, publications management, and policy management. Ensure compliance with the Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule, including the legal, regulatory, policy and established processes. Develop and implement ETMS2 policies and business practices for the DHN W. Plan, develop, and implement policies covering all aspects of the DHN W Directorate’s workflow/correspondence management operations to meet Directorate goals and objectives. Review and disseminate administrative directives and policies issued by DHN W, DHA, DoD, and other governmental organizations. Participate in identifying and resolving problems arising from internal directives, plans and policies emanating from within the DHN W to ensure conformance with existing policies and directives. Serve as the proponent for administrative process development to define and improve continuity of operations. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes advising executive level personnel within and outside a large medical organization; assisting with the operation of administration or management functions, such as: workflow management, correspondence management, records management, publications management, and policy management, for a large multi-facility medical operation; and managing or assigning organizational taskers utilizing a task management tool, such as the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer Skills Decision Making Healthcare Operations Administration Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
