Staff Analyst Series - Paratransit Job ID: 10503 Business Unit: MABSTOA Location: Long Island City, NY, United States Regular/Temporary: Regular Department: NYC Transit Authority Date Posted: Feb 10, 2025 Description Staff Analyst Series First date of posting: TBD Last date of posting: Open Until Filled Authority: OA/TA Department: Paratransit Division/Unit: Paratransit Contracts Management Reports To: Manager Paratransit Contracts Management Work Location: 33-00 Northern Blvd, Long Island City, NY 11101 Summary MTA New York City Transit’s Access-A-Ride (AAR) paratransit service is a federally mandated service in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, providing shared-ride transportation for persons who are unable to use the fixed route system of public buses and subways for some or all their trip due to their disability. Responsibilities Prepare and process invoices for all Paratransit broker contracts; monitor contractor performance to ensure contractors are in compliance with contract terms; analyze customer survey data; respond to complaints from the Customer Relations Unit; perform audits of the FTA mandated Drug and Alcohol Program; conduct the FTA mandated RTK training for key personnel; participate in the monthly office inspection; assist the contract manager to update the annual Paratransit System Goals Action Plan; prepare, compile, and reconcile the daily score card utilizing RAOSFT statistical software and the BBR systems. Compensation: Assoc. Staff Analyst (OA): $90,511 - $117,195 Assoc. Staff Analyst (TA): $83,098 - $107,951 (New Hire Rate: $72,258) Staff Analyst II (OA): $80,071- $89,179 Staff Analyst II (TA): $73,510- $781,871(New Hire Rate: $63,923) Staff Analyst I (OA): $68,962 - $81,642 Staff Analyst I (TA): $63,310- $74,950 (New Hire Rate: $55,049) TA EMPLOYEES MUST BE PERMANENT CIVIL SERVICE ASSOCIATE STAFF ANALYST, STAFF ANALYST I OR STAFF ANALYST II IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED Education and Experience Associate Staff Analyst 1. A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies, or a closely related field, and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management, or in a related area; or 2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described in "1" above. Staff Analyst I & Staff Analyst II 1. A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies, or a closely related field; or 2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in one or a combination of the following areas: working with the budget. of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation or fiscal management or in a related area: or 3.An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university and four years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2" above; or 4. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2" above; or 5. A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", "3", or "4" above. College education may be substituted for professional experience at the rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university for one (1) year of experience. However, all candidates must have a high school diploma.
