The Staff Assistant II is a full-time benefited position, that will be a key member of the Salt Lake team. In this position you will contribute your talents to staff, faculty, students, and others to achieve the mission of the University and the Salt Lake Center. This includes providing setup and support for daily events and classes. This position has a daytime schedule that may require some evenings and Saturdays.

ResponsibilitiesEvents: 50% of time
Assist with setup and operation of meetings and eventsBe willing to work some evenings and Saturdays – planned in advanceSchedule, organize, and prioritize the eventsServe as the day of liaison between client and Salt Lake Team to ensure a successful and safe eventReport any event changes or issues pre and post eventAssist with cleaning and take down of event roomsReception/Office: 40% of time
Answer phonesData entry and filingCover the Reception Desk and interact and communicate professionally with faculty, students, visitors, administrators, and supervisorAssist with ordering and organizing office suppliesHelp with basic IT issuesClassroom Facilitation: 10% of time
Setup classrooms, operate equipment, trouble-shoot technical problems, proctor tests, collect assignments, and distribute class materialsFacilitate broadcasts of Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) and Zoom coursesProvide updates to supervisor on technology, classroom or event issuesAssist with cleaning of classroomsAll other duties as assigned QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in an office setting or an associate degree/vocational training is required.Must be reliable and punctualKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skilled with computers and related software, with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office in a Windows environmentSkilled with basic office equipment, including printers, copiers, and telephone systems.Strong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business data and personal information in a calm & professional manner.Ability to problem solve and complete multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyWork independently and as a member of a teamKnowledge of University policies and procedures.Excellent customer service skills.Some IT help desk experience helpful Required DocumentsAlong with the online application, please attach:
