The Staff Attorney, Risk oversees, manages, and helps to resolve insurance related litigation, including workers compensation, design liability, bodily injury, general liability, and auto liability claims. The Risk Management Attorney will serve as a member of the Risk Management Team, working closely with Risk leadership and outside counsel to effectively address and resolve employment and insurance-related matters. The successful candidate will serve as a partner to leaders across the business to handle a range of complex legal issues.
Responsibilities
Manage Clark’s activities in court and arbitration, including litigation and settlement strategies, and managing outside counsel, for various insurance and risk related matters
Provide legal guidance to corporate leadership on relevant employment issues and assist with internal investigations
Proactively identify and develop relationships with industry professionals
Take an active role in recruiting top industry talent to join the Clark team. Identify, hire, and retain outstanding people
Exceed our stakeholders’ expectations by anticipating their needs, desires, and goals
Basic Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
Active bar membership
2+ years of litigation experience
Strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
