Description Robert Half is partnering with an established mass tort law firm looking to hire a Staff Attorney in Pasadena, California. This Staff Attorney will be an integral part of the team, focusing on empathetic client interaction and thoughtful case management. This role offers an exciting opportunity in a dynamic and complex field, with a primary focus on wildfire cases. Responsibilities: • Engage in empathetic communication with clients who have undergone significant hardship, providing support and guidance throughout the legal process • Manage client cases, including the documentation of losses, collection of necessary information, and submission of claim forms • Handle client inquiries, providing clear and concise answers about the complicated mass tort process • Work on filing appeals in instances where clients do not receive appropriate compensation • Adjust work schedule as necessary to ensure client needs are met, while maintaining a consistent weekly timetable • Navigate the complexities of civil litigation, utilizing skills in licensed attorney practices and litigation attorney principles • Focus more on client interaction than legal research and writing, providing a balanced approach to litigation management • Explore the potential for progression within the team, with opportunities to advance to senior staff attorney and mass tort counsel roles • Work collaboratively within a team that values social justice and helping others. Compensation: + Salary newly barred attorneys will start around $100,000 - up to 5 years of experience for $150,000. + Quarterly bonuses based on value added to cases and clients. + Medical, dental, and vision plans, PTO & sick days, and a 401k plan!
