Manufacturing Staff Engineer (Integration) is expected to have strong leadership abilities and extensive technical expertise. The Staff Engineer requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, advanced solving skills, and a consistent track record of successfully integrating complex systems, including Rapid Value Stream Systems, advanced projects, and Custom Configurations. Staff Integration Engineer plays a pivotal role in leading integration projects, training and mentoring new engineers and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our integration processes.


A Day in the Life:

Train and mentor new engineers to ensure a smooth transition and effective knowledge transfer.Apply strong electrical engineering knowledge to fix integrated systems and resolve complex technical issues.Develop scripts and utilities to automate processes and enhance the efficiency of integrating new products.Actively participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to ensure seamless integration into existing systems.Modify and update tools/scripts to continually reduce errors and improve integration performance.Lead advanced custom projects integration and configuration meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance.Lead a team of integration engineers to complete large-scale projects, ensuring alignment to timelines and quality standards.Integrate Advanced systems within uncommonly tight schedules, including Engineering-to-order integration, Integration, Commissioning, handover, and IO DDS reports.Demonstrate a strong understanding of equipment architecture and network infrastructure to facilitate smooth integration.Maintain the integrity of System Configuration Specifications (SCS) by reviewing and approving/rejecting Advanced Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).Integrate Advanced and Custom Projects, including VRTX/HCI configurations, with precision and efficiency.Modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on team feedback to optimize integration processes continually.Independently solve rapid and/or custom-integrated systems, demonstrating resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.Lead non-integration projects, such as Process Performance Improvement (PPI) initiatives, to drive enhancements in the integration process.

Keys to Success:

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred.6+ years configuring Emerson DeltaV systems, Rockwell or Siemens Control systems.Advanced knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet IP, OPCUA, etc.A proven experience integrating complex systems, focusing on Advanced Projects.Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and empower a team.Proficiency in developing scripts and utilities for process automation and enhancement.Extensive experience in solving integrated systems and resolving technical issues independently.Advanced knowledge of equipment architecture and network infrastructure.Consistent record of completing large-scale integration projects within tight deadlines.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multi-functional teams.Thorough with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.Certification in relevant areas (e.g., Six Sigma, Project Management) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $123,800.00–$185,675.00.
