Staff Battery System Engineer

Ford Model E is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities – such as EV platforms, batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling – to create ground-up, breakthrough electric vehicles. The Battery System Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing battery systems for various applications. This role requires expertise in battery technology and electrical engineering to ensure the optimal performance of the battery system.
 

Minimum requirements:

BS in Engineering or equivalent with minimum 5 years of relevant experience5+ years of experience in battery system design and developmentIn-depth knowledge of battery technology, chemistry, and materialsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong project management skills

Preferred Requirements:

Master's Degree in EngineeringHands-on experience building and launching automotive productsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience using Confluence, Jira, Asana, or other project management toolsAn eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing teamA system approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement
