Description Robert Half is recruiting for a Staff Counsel role based in Chicago, Illinois. The Staff Counsel will be engaged in legal matters related to various types of law, including eviction cases, administrative hearings, and court reviews. This role will also offer counsel to various client departments within the organization. Responsibilities: + Represent our organization in all stages of eviction matters and administrative hearings. + Conduct thorough research and draft legal memoranda and motions relating to evictions and voucher program hearings for filing in court. + Respond to oral and written discovery requests, and propound discovery when necessary. + Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and prepare and present witnesses to testify at administrative hearings or eviction trials. + Offer counseling and legal advice to various client departments within the organization. + Handle litigation related to the investigation of eviction matters and other associated court cases. Requirements + Must possess a valid license to practice law. + Minimum of 1 year of experience as an attorney. + Prior courtroom experience is prefered. + Must have a strong skill set in the discovery process. + Strong time management skills. + Strong written and oral communication skills. + Strong analytical and research skills.
