Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Cyber System Engineer – Cyber & Platforms Engineering Manager (24-506) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

This Cyber and Platforms (CAP) Engineering Manager will be accountable to the CAP Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for technical, cost, and schedule performance within the EI4CD Engineering Management Portfolio. They will be listed as the Control Account Owner for all Control Accounts under their portfolio. They will primarily work with the EPM to ensure efficient engineering processes are followed and adhered to deliver capability on schedule to the customer.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for managing dependencies between teams within their Engineering Management Portfolio and will support the EPM in managing external dependencies elsewhere within the C2BMC enterpriseAdhere to Agile principles and ensure teams follow an Agile cadence to deliver the best product to the C2BMC customerAdhering to the LM PMM accounting and reporting requirements, identifying and tracking all Risks and Opportunities, and identifying and tracking iteration events and releasesResponsible for leading the respective product teams to ensure the following:Ensure that each team is only working on the prescribed scope as laid into the IMSEnsure teams are updating Jira dailyEnsure teams are decomposing stories and are capturing performance correctlyEnsure teams are conducting daily standupsEnsure teams are conducting unit testing and regression testingResponsible for ensuring accuracy of personnel charging and monitoring weekly hours reportedManage and report on team technical issues and resolutionsSupport EPM in proposal development, including authoring and reviewing BOEs and Engineering EstimatesEnsure team technical commitments are clearly understood and met or exceededProduce ETC/EVM and other engineering metrics to identify and address all technical or staffing issues while managing cost/scheduleWork with EPM to provide timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements and identify staffing needsMaintain backlog of assigned features to meet technical commitmentsEnsure teams follow organizational processesNominally attends all milestone events (in person when possible)Supports the EPM in managing and forecasting technical maturity, including when milestone maturity can be claimed and what OE is required to support such a claim

Salary Range for Colorado Springs: $171,000 - $256,600

Salary Range for Huntsville: $179,600 - $269,400

Additional Northrop Grumman Information:

Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $269,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
