For our Digital Industry team, we are looking for a [Senior (or Staff) Data Scientist] to help us drive [data-driven decision making] within Siemens and beyond. We are a highly motivated team and are excited to get to know you.

You'll make an impact by

Being creative with the data to boost data utilizationCommunicating with internal customers to underhand the needs and queries of dataDesigning, establishing and maintaining data tools and dashboards for stakeholdersExtracting relevant data from various database,preparing the dataset for advanced analysis and modelingControlling data quality and conducting data investigations to understand logic that is required to use for reliable analysisConducting the statistical analysis and implementing data mining and machine learning models in ad-hoc project and business caseConducting cutting edge algorithm research to apply the new technology on business caseDelivering the interpretation of analysis and model results

Your defining qualities

Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Business Analytics or other quantitative fieldsProficient in application of statistics, hypotheses testProficient in data clear and refine process; knowledge in outlier detection and sampling methodsProficient in machine learning methods especially regression, classification models and cluster analysis, such as logistic regression, decision tree, SVM, K-meanProficient in the model assembling methods and relevant models, such as Random Forest, XGBMProficient in Deep Learning model especially various Neural Network algorithms based on Tensorflow or Pytorch, such as CNN, RNNGood experience in developing the data mining or machine learning models for business or academic issues, and interpreting the resultsFamiliar with forecasting methods, especially time seriesHands on experience in Python at advanced user level, Good SQL skills, Good MS Excel skills, Business level in written English
