Job Description: Staff Design Engineer

Location: This position will be based in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai

Role and Responsibilities:

Design of assembly modules for our current and future productsUtilize engineering knowledge to provide solutions to challenging design problemsSource off the shelf components to be used in technical designsCreate and manage Solidworks CAD models, drawings and assembliesControl drawing and model releases through an ECN processManage and coordinate with other engineers, investigate and undertake analysis to improve the overall scope of the project.Work with a cross-functional development team to relay design and engineering intentlead a team of engineers and plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on timeWork with contract manufacturing partners through the DFM, DFS and DFR process to bring products from prototype to productionCollaborate and work cross functionally with the global engineering team

Skills and Experience:

B.Tech/BE/MS in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years related work experienceCAD Modeling experience (Solidworks preferred)Good understanding of Mechanical Design Code and StandardsSolid understanding of engineering principles, such as fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, materials engineeringBasic understanding of sheet metal, machining and welding techniquesExposure to Structural and Vibration AnalysisAbility to understand existing mechanisms and visualize improvementsExcellent communication and presentation skillsExperience of managing a small team of design engineers a plus.
