Staff DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and drive automation, scalability, and reliability across our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Kubernetes (K8s), CI/CD, and IaC tools to manage cloud-native environments, streamline deployments, and enhance system performance.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with development teams to design, build, and maintain cloud and on-premises environments, continuously improve system availability, performance, and security. Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes (K8s) clusters for container orchestration. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and reduce manual interventions. Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to manage cloud environments. Automate configuration management and provisioning. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud-based and on-prem infrastructure. Collaborate with developers to enhance software delivery speed and reliability. Implement security best practices and compliance policies in DevOps workflows.

Requirements:

5+ years’ experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles. Strong Linux system administration skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and tune performance. Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) administration and troubleshooting. Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.). Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation. Proficiency with configuration management tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, or Chef. Experience with Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Solid understanding of networking, monitoring, and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.). Scripting skills in Bash or Python. Experience with containerization using Docker.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with logging tools such as ElasticSearch, Kibana, and fluent-bit.  Knowledge of Big Data Ecosystem administration, including Hadoop, Spark, Zookeeper, Kafka, and ClickHouse. Experience managing and running databases such as MySQL, Postgres, and Redis. Strong understanding of network, application, and data security. Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps and cloud infrastructure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,700-$176,900. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
