Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse RN Jupiter Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse RN to join our ever-growing team. Staff Development Coordinator/Staff Educator Job Description: + Plan, organize, and implement skills training programs/in-services for clinical staff and other departments; Perform orientation classes + Develop educational strategies to facilitate quality improvement efforts + Coordinate with and utilize community resources in meeting educational and staffing needs + Oversee the process for competency evaluation of new employees + Recommend progression to permanent employment or extension of orientation/probationary period for new employees + Work closely with HR regarding hiring process and new employee files. + Serves as designated associate responsible for monitoring Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC + Serves as the on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response activities, in accordance with current CDC recommendations + Maintains a current knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practices + Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action + Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Infection Prevention and Control Program + Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc. + Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Staff Development Coordinator/Staff Educator Requirements/Qualifications: + Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Registered Professional Nurse’s license in the State of Florida + Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and mature judgments. + Prior Staff Development/Education experience Preferred. + Point Click care preferred Salary Range: Based on education and experience An Equal Opportunity Employer INDRN
