Staff Engineer, WB Mechanical

Challenge different disciplines (electrical, mechanical and software) on technical aspects. You are the overall technical lead throughout the different development phases, from proof of concept to mass production readiness. In this role you will be able to define the architecture of the system based on ideas and possibilities from the market in collaboration with Product Managers. Transforming concepts into actual project plans through related tests to verify.

Responsibility:

Responsible for assigned Engineering technical design developments including system architecture building, analysis and calculations to ensure designs to meet all related requirements for supposed performance, reliability at system level on WB products. This position is mainly as System Engineer role.    Responsible to perform assigned product requirements definitions, Engineering testing, documents and data analysis and also include formal reports writing.          Responsible for communication and management for assigned projects to push forward from start to final end including cost, timeline and quality.Collaborate with mechanical Engineers and electrical engineers to develop mechatronic systems, and also need to be able to analyze potential root cause for any happened failures.Collaborate with cross function teams to provide required system level technical supports to solve the issues at customer sites and vendor sites.

 

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above with minimum 8 years’ experience in Automation, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering or similar Engineering for precision equipments. With system level knowledge and basic electrical knowledge will be necessary. Semiconductor equipment experience is preferred.Need to be familiar with design theory knowledge for motion systems including stepper and servo motors, bearings, leadscrews, sensors, pneumatic actuators, multiple axes,  control driving system and so on.Need to be familiar with the knowledge of typical motor drivers, motor controllers and basic electrical knowledge, and need to be able to set up testes to use tools and Python software to drive motion systems to verify related functions including performance and reliability through Python programming. Python programming experience and ability is necessary.Need to be able to perform testing to analysis for thermal, motion, vibration, and pneumatic systems and also be able to write the formal testing reports.Need to have Hands on operation experience including test set-up, troubleshooting, equipment operation during testing phase, etc.Need to be familiar with Full design cycle experience, from proof of concept through prototyping, development, and commercial realization. Need to be able to work individually to find ways to solve problems, strong responsibility spirit and self-motivate, be willing to widen skills and knowledge.Need to be with great soft communication skills for the interaction and communication among cross function teams.Good English Language in speaking and writing.Previous experience working with a multi-national organization is a strong plus.
