We are looking for a talented Staff Engineer to join our Wires product team. This team is one product line within a cloud-native banking product suite that will revolutionize the way banks operate in the 21st century. As this product grows and adapts to the latest regulatory standards, we are looking for an individual to assist with scalability and cloud computing. This individual will take the lead on moving to a Golang-based code, embedding continuous integration and deployment practices, and ensuring compatibility with the Google Cloud Platform in which the product will be hosted. This individual will need to be a strong technologist with the ability to be a change agent within their team.
This position can be based to work out of any Jack Henry office or remotely from any US location. Salary range for this position is $108-188k, depending on candidate experience and geographic location.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Architect and build cloud-native applications in GCP using Golang.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Implement infrastructure as code and automate deployment pipelines.Monitor and maintain systems for high availability, performance, and scalability.Identify and resolve cloud infrastructure issues and provide effective solutions.Ensure security best practices are followed across the entire infrastructure.May perform other job duties as assigned.What you’ll need to have:
Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in any or all of the following: software, cloud, or DevOps engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience with Golang.Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture.What would be nice for you to have:
Bachelor’s degree. Experience with containerization and associated tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with infrastructure as code through tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.A proactive problem-solving approach and the ability to take initiative to identify and address any challenges.The ability to be an empathetic team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.A positive, open-minded approach to team dynamics and a willingness to help others succeed.If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity.
