Staff Engineer
Job Description The role of the Staff Engineer is to support the senior project engineers and the project management team in preparing schedules and budgets as well as interacting with clients. They will develop and prepare engineering design plans and project specifications, while also assessing potential risks and ensuring industry compliance. Day-to-day 90% of this person's job will be focused on production/design, 5% on field work, and 5% on managing administrative work such as proposals. They will be exposed to a variety of both private and public projects and have the opportunity to join a growing company! The salary range for this candidate is $60-90k. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor's degree in civil engineering - Engineer-in-Training (EI/EIT) (or sitting for it soon) - 2+ years of work experience on civil engineering projects with design-focused responsibilities - Experience with roadway or water/stormwater/wastewater system facilities or related projects - Professional experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite - Understanding of permitting protocols and experience with the project journey from design to contract administration - Teachable spirit and desire to be in the role long term - Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license - Exposure to GIS or ICPR null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
