Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manager - Power Portfolios this position is responsible for management of power purchase agreements, firm transmission capacity, purchase agreements, capacity supply
agreements and interconnection agreements. This position is also responsible for operational management of existing generation resources interconnected to the LIPA system.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

Provide accurate and timely data to LIPA's Bidding Agent, so Generating resources can be bid in the NYISO Market for Capacity and Energy accurately Development of the tools that are necessary to perform timely analysis of the performance of our contracted generating resources Analyzes Facility operational data to determine compliance with contract. (Including classification of unit outages, unit heat rate, startups and other information) Performs detailed analysis of monthly power-purchase invoices to identify potential errors. Review to ensure compliance with contractual terms. Work with counterparties to resolve disputed items. Assist Manager of the group with NYISO 3 party Interconnection Agreement negotiation process  Represent PSEG LI in NYISO Interconnection Reform committees. Manage all related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored In person witness testing at Power Plants as required by the Power Purchase Agreements Must have a valid US driver license with a safe and satisfactory driving history. Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

B.S in  Engineering  Four (4) years or more of relevant Engineering experience Familiarity with Auto Cad or other drafting application. Familiarity with the transmission and distribution systems Working knowledge of applicable codes (ANSI, IEEE, ASTM, NEC, NESC, etc related to electric transmission system engineering, design and operation. Familiarity with Occupational Safety Health Act (OSHA) guidelines. Demonstrate effective problem-solving and decision-making skills Demonstrate strong planning and organization skills Must be adaptable and results-oriented Demonstrated leadership skills, professionalism and customer/client experience focus Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driving history.

Desired:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Ability to obtain a New York State Professional Engineer license.
