**Job Description:**

The Alpharetta, GA office is seeking an engineer with a background in hydraulics or water resources for a Staff Engineer level position to support our growing business. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists while under the supervision of senior engineering personnel
+ Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers in accordance with internal drafting procedures and guidelines
+ Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
+ Collect data and measurements in the field
+ Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including spillways, dam outlet works, diversion and check structures, measurement flumes, and other various raw water infrastructure
+ Ability to travel and work in the field is required
**Required Skills/Experience:**
+ A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering (or related) from an ABET accredited program with an emphasis in Hydraulics, Hydrology, or Water Resources
+ 0-3 years of related professional experience
+ Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam/Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification, or ability to obtain EIT Certification within 6 months of hire.
+ Familiarity with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS software is a plus, but not required. These programs are used extensively, so a willingness to learn them is a must.
+ Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
+ Positive attitude and self-motivation to grow professionally.
**Preferred Skills/Experience:**
+ Familiarity with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS software
**Other Requirements:**
+ Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
+ Ability to pass a pre-employment screening
The compensation range for a Staff Engineer in Alpharetta is between $57,200 to $86,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
