**Job Summary**
The Staff Engineer position is an advanced experience level position responsible for providing engineering support to existing manufacturing lines and for the development of new manufacturing processes. The scope of responsibility includes, but is not limited to; process improvements, cost reduction activities, equipment replacement, and/or development of new processes and equipment. Depending on the department, this position may serve as a leader with direct reports and managerial responsibilities or will oversee project teams with overall responsibilities for oversight and direction of projects.
**Job Details/Responsibilities**
+ Maintain and follow TMC Quality System requirements; including but not limited to understanding of change control, validation, documentation practices, and design control requirements. Establish and promote a work environment amongst co-workers and direct reports that supports compliance with the TMC Quality System and Terumo’s policies
+ Provide technical assistance and leadership required to plan and implement projects to develop, install, and qualify new products, and/or new processes for manufacturing new products or for improving existing processes according to business plan objectives
+ Provide engineering expertise in the design, fabrication, development, installation, validation, and qualification of equipment / product which may include feasibility studies and/or proper documentation for justification of project and training to ensure proper operation of the equipment
+ Monitor and control programs, identify issues, and conduct root cause analysis and oversees and leads complex issue resolution
+ Ensure proper documentation is prepared or corrected to reflect any changes implemented
+ Research and implement cost reduction projects, lines, extensions, and/or products
+ Provide assistance to production as required
+ Plan work schedules, expenditures, attend meetings, and prepare monthly reports as required to ensure effective communication of ideas, information, and issues to appropriate stakeholders
+ Assign, delegate, and assist in the completion of engineering tasks or projects to lower lever engineers
+ Responsible for leading projects of varied scope, which may include overseeing other department personnel in the implementation of new or modified equipment, products, or processes
+ May be necessary to coordinate the activities of support groups such as purchasing, scheduling, production, etc.
+ Collect data from various sections
+ Participate in project performance team meetings on behalf of the job unit in order to provide ideas, methods, or processes for unit/company performance improvement.

Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand. Rate of pay: $127,000 - $190,000/year
