Job Title: Staff Engineer
Job Description
This position manages routine to moderately complex projects by providing all technical expertise required to meet and exceed client expectations. This individual will be expected to write basic reports giving professional opinions and recommendations applying standard engineering practices and techniques under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
Responsibilities
+ Manage Geotechnical and materials testing
+ Observe and report construction progress to Project Engineer
+ Work with drill techs on various civil and commercial projects
+ Prepare proposals for civil engineering projects
+ Develop solutions, make recommendations, and prepare engineering reports for review
Essential Skills
+ 0-3 years of experience in project engineering
+ EIT certification
+ Licensed Engineer
+ Civil Engineering
+ Experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT)
+ Geotechnical engineering
+ Transportation engineering
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Possess or willing to obtain FE certification
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
+ Internship experience preferred
+ Proficient in Word & Excel
+ Valid driver's license
+ Prior engineering consulting experience is a plus
+ Proficiency in field testing and report writing experience
Work Environment
The work environment will be different day to day but candidates should expect their activity to be divided in the following ways:
+ 50% Field
+ 25% Lab
+ 25% Office
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
