This role combines computational modeling and simulation with practical testing to optimize product designs and ensure high performance and safety standards. The engineer will play a critical role in integrating simulation-driven insights into the decision-making process, driving the adoption of advanced simulation techniques to enhance product development and innovation. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between simulation outcomes and real-world testing results. This role involves hands-on work to support the development & validation of test methods, leverage engineering principles and drive innovation in the neurovascular field.

What you will do:
Act as a lead simulation engineer and develop simulation capabilities for Neurovascular products.
Ensure quality of deliverables for self as well as the team
Perform simulations and develop critical insights regarding the product performance.
Act as SME for simulations and represent simulation at various forums.
Contribute to capability building by identifying potential areas and developing capabilities.
Work with team in identifying software as well hardware requirements.
Ensure simulations are meeting regulatory requirements by adopting ASME V&V40 guidelines.
Addressing queries regarding the simulation and help the team with technical justification.
Constantly looks for avenues for validating the simulation models to increase the credibility of simulation.
Identify best practices and discuss the same with other CAE leads.
Liaison with team members as well as divisional counterparts to ensure smooth communication and maintaining timelines.
Design, develop, and validate test protocols for functional verification.
Test protocols may include leveraging/developing mechanical or electromechanical fixtures.
Contributing to requirements discussions and providing inputs from test engineering perspective.
Participating in design change reviews and provide feedback on test impact and regression analysis.
What you will need:
Education: B.S/B.Eng./MS/M.Eng/Ph.D in Engineering
Minimum 4 years of experience in an engineering or related environment
Solid background on Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Good command over solid mechanics.
Proficiency in using Ansys products, ABAQUS, Altair Radioss and HyperMesh.
Knowledge Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and similar computational physics will be advantageous.
Proficient in handling highly nonlinear problems.
Hands own experience in handling implicit as well explicit simulation packages
Command over python, TCL for automating various simulation workflows.
Experience in global R&D setup on endovascular simulation (e.g., cardiovascular, neurovascular devices involving NiTi, Pt-W, and polymer coated metallic structures etc.)
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
