The Facilities Construction and Engineering Team at Northrop Grumman AS and Aerospace Systems (NGAS ASBU) is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Construction Engineer Level 5 based out of Clearfield, UT location.
Manage construction projects to include reviewing/assigning incoming department requests, cost estimate and schedule reviews, contractor workforce management, and coordination with other departments.
Key responsibilities:
Plans, designs, and oversees the construction of new or expanded facilities. Prepares architectural and engineering cost estimates and schedules. Obtains and supervises outside contractors. Recommends architectural and engineering design procedures and standards for the planning and design of facilities. Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Supervises the detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects. Prepare and present reports on project status, including timelines, budgets, and any deviation from the original plan. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) with 12 years of experience in the following Engineering fields; Civil, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Structural, Project, Mechanical, Design OR Master of Science in STEM with 10 years of experience in mentioned fields OR PhD of Science in STEM field with 8 years of experience in mentioned fields.Experience with construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Experience in managing large-scale construction projects. U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secrete Clearance and Special Program Access.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera)Ability to obtain Secret level clearance. Excellent presentation skills Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the job function (i.e. Revit, MS Visio, MS Project, and other construction design software) Valid driver's license Facilities experience in the Defense sector along with understanding of security standard ICD 705 Experience in aerospace industry Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED CertificationSalary Range: $0.00 - $0.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
