As a Staff Engineer on the Emerging SCQ Systems Team, you will serve as an authority for driving new and emerging digital technologies in our Supply Chain. Our Digital Transformation framework is building the technology and digital tools of the future with a strategic focus on the product release process. The position is a vital role for the Integrated Automated Product Release program and is an excellent opportunity if you are passionate about building groundbreaking capabilities and working in a multi-functional environment

This role will interact primarily with IT, Quality Leadership, and key Domain Experts from the MedTech sites with additional key interactions from other groups including Project Management, technical Scrum Teams and Regulatory Affairs. The individual will serve as the Business Product Owner, owning the execution and refinement of the APR playbook and inputting into the overall strategies for scalable solutions across MedTech. Candidates must be self-motivated, independent and have an eagerness to learn and work as a team, and a desire to thrive in a multifaceted environment.

This role provides opportunity to enhance or build global solutions and see them come to life with deployment to realize the future technology ecosystems of MedTech to digitize and optimize the product release processes. The realization of building our new digital tool portfolio will drive growth, delivery, quality, and cost improvements while moving toward a future state of proactive Quality. A critical element will be leading the scale up of these target solutions within MedTech driving seamless integration and establishment of standard process around the systems including sustainability plans.

Key Responsibilities:Serves as BPO for key digital tools.Prioritization of new features and/or enhancements to a product and help translate business needs into prioritized user stories; accountable for value delivery.Financially responsible: ensures product investments are successful throughout product lifecycle.Shape the squad vision / roadmap and aligns solutions oriented around business impact.Shape and prioritize backlog acceptance criteria.Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing features, optimizing cost and improving delivery efficiency.Act as the “voice of the customer” within the squad to ensure the squad “builds the right thing”.Supports Product Manager to establish the products’ business value and leadership management communication.Participate in release planning, sprint planning and demos with site customers and Quality leadership.Integrate with other Squads within the Product to implement cross-squad tasks.In partnership with the Technical Product Owner, they ensure that systems meet standards for security, compliance and data privacy.Lead successful integration of new product and features at the site in partnership with JJT.

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, industrial, systems or biomedical) or equivalent degree in science.Experience and Skills:

Required:

A minimum of 6 years overall business experience with a minimum of 4 years in manufacturing or base business roles.Experience with introduction of new technologies and systems in the regulated healthcare industry.Experience with developing innovative approaches to Quality challenges in a fast-paced, changing global environment.Strong communication and organizational change skills.Able to deliver oral and written communications around projects that has transparency and impact.Organized, analytical approach to problem solving. Familiarity with FDA, GMP and ISO requirements. Solid understanding and demonstrated ability in project management.Demonstrated experience in effective project management.Very strong digital literacy with modern tools and applications (AI, LLMs, etc.) with practical implementation and validation of use cases.Preferred:Working experience with complex medical device systems and exposure to different types of medical device manufacturing.Experience in process engineering, analytics and certifications (e.g. Black Belt).Experience working in an Agile/software development context/scrum team.Other:This position is anticipated to have up to 25% travelThe anticipated base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $144,900.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
