Requires a MS or higher (preferably PhD) in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil), Physics, or similar – but not computer science / programmingMinimum of 1 years work experience – but this can be flexible if the candidate is otherwise highly qualifiedPrimarily programming in JavaSome experience with Java requiredThese team members typically grow to lead teams and present to customers, but they still have to be able to handle the day-to-day work of writing codeAbility to communicate is critical in this positionPreferred:Someone with any knowledge of FortranSomeone with any experience with developments tools like Git, Eclipse (or IntelliJ), Visual Studio, JIRASomeone with any experience with compiling and developing for or on Linux OSMost of the work can be done on Windows, but cannot escape eventually having to work with LinuxDesired:Some C++ experience is desired but not required (but definitely desired)Current active security clearanceExperience with related DoD software systems and modelsExperience developing and deploying software to DoD IA requirementsKnowledge of nuclear weapons effects and scientific programmingThey will have tasks that include data validation and verification, including creating reports; This may include visualization of dataSo they need to be able to understand the effects being modeled and validated

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00

o\tBonuses: 5% base, with potential for 10-15% if management incentives are met.
o\tVacation: 3 weeks, 9 holidays, 3 floating holidays, and 20 hours of volunteering time.

This is a fully onsite position in Cary,NC.
