Northrop Grumman Missions Systems is seeking an experienced RF Engineer in Receiver/Exciters, RF/Microwave design, and Hardware/Subsystem Integration and Test. The qualified candidate will work with a diverse and talented team of engineers developing innovative and cost-effective systems that support Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare products as well as a broad range of other products and business areas across the lifecycle of a program. Applicants should possess the ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and mentor more junior engineers.
This position involves troubleshooting hardware in the lab. On-site presence in Baltimore/Linthicum, MD is required.
What you'll get to do:
Responsibilities may include development of receiver / exciter architectures and hardware board design, subsystem integration, troubleshooting, and performance testing, engineering test setup including acquiring and controlling test equipment, requirements generation/flow down; subsystem analysis including hardware from RF to digits, performance modeling, requirements verification, and more. Work will be performed under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 12 years of experience in the areas described in the job description or 10 years of experience with a Masters Degree and/or 8 years of experience with a Ph. D. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Established subject matter expertise in areas of RF/Microwave Hardware discipline and/or Receiver/Exciter (R/E) hardware, including but not limited to design, development, integration, test, and subsystem (R/E) integrationDemonstrated ability in technical and team leadership overseeing and mentoring engineers with experience at least at the Sr. Principal level.Effective verbal and written communication skillsActive Interim Secret or higher clearance.On-site in Linthicum, MarylandIn addition, this candidate should have demonstrated technical ability/leadership and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
