Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a highly motivated Staff Flight Test Engineer, specializing in Mission Systems testing to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

In this role you will develop mission systems strategies on a classified program. You will be responsible for developing test schedules and presentations and cost/schedule performance for the various Mission Systems test strategies. You will lead test working group meetings and provide mentorship to less experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Working with the Mission Systems IPT to define the requirements for the systems under testDecompose specifications to system performance, interface, test and verification requirementsLeading system testing, reporting, development of test procedures and data acquisitionDeveloping Mission/Model Based Test and Evaluation (MBT&E) strategies

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 12 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience.Experience with requirements development to include systems test procedures for lab integrationYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of experience working with Mission Systems and/or Mission Systems testingMaster’s degree or equivalent experience in Systems Test and/or Flight Test certificationKnowledge of lab processes, hardware testing, integration and System Qualification Testing

Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
