The Position Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action. Position is the State boating Law Administrator who is the liaison with the U.S. coast Guard, other state boating law administrators and law enforcement agencies in Nevada as well as other states; coordinate the application for the Coast Guard grant and complete accurate mandatory reporting of the grant; assist with the public relations efforts including news releases, television and radio interviews and development of informational publications; manage the boating law enforcement program; coordinate boating record requests; manage boat accident BARD reporting; create statistical analysis for the boating program; develop long and short range objectives; assist in development of legislative proposals; assist in developing the Division's biennial budget for approval. Special Notes Applicants must meet Peace Officers' Standards and Training (POST) requirements as established in the Nevada Revised Statutes and Nevada Administrative Code.
