Staff Geologist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Geologist to oversee a large project in the Albany, NY region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the geological integrity and safety of the construction operations, while adhering to all regulatory and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct geological surveys and assessments to determine the suitability of the drilling site.Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater samples to identify potential hazards and ensure stability.Develop and implement drilling plans that minimize environmental impact and ensure safety.Monitor drilling operations to ensure compliance with geological and environmental regulations.Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project completion.Prepare detailed reports and documentation on geological findings and drilling progress.Provide expert advice on geological matters to project stakeholders.Ensure all drilling activities are conducted in accordance with industry best practices and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.Minimum of 1 years of experienceStrong knowledge of geological surveying techniques and drilling methodologies.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with diverse stakeholders.Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards related to drilling operations.Proficiency in geological software and tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
