Staff HIL Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive systems, software development, and HIL testing methodologies. As an HIL Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining HIL systems used for validating automotive electronic control units (ECUs).

You'll have... 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred) 8+ years of experience in embedded software testing with hardware-in-the-loop systems or other embedded testing modalities. Proven experience in HIL system development and testing within the automotive industry. Strong understanding of automotive electronics, communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay), and ECU architecture. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB/Simulink. Experience with HIL software tools such as dSPACE, NI VeriStand, or Vector CANoe. Experience with various testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with automotive safety standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262). Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Hands-on experience with real-time systems and control theory.

What you’ll do... 

Design, develop, and maintain HIL test systems and infrastructure to support the validation of ECUs and other automotive components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, systems engineers, and validation engineers, to define HIL requirements and ensure seamless integration. Develop test scripts and automation solutions to enhance the efficiency and coverage of HIL testing. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HIL systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades of HIL hardware and software to align with evolving project requirements. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to support the continuous improvement of automotive systems.
