Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Liaison/MRB Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located fulltime in Whidbey Island, WA.
Key responsibilities:
The Staff Liaison/MRB Engineer will assist with the disposition of withhold supplier tags. Candidate should have experience with designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from composite materials.
Tasks will include interfacing with multiple suppliers, dispositioning of discrepant material tags, interfacing with stakeholder groups such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel in the design center and build facilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 12 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in composite airframe structures or a master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 10 years of experience.Hands on experience in a composites manufacturing facility.Experience with military specs and standards.Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearanceMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearancePreferred Qualifications: Bachelors of Science or Masters of Science in Mechanical or Aeronautical EngineeringCurrent NGAS MRB buyoff authority. "EN".Experience interfacing with a military customerCurrent, in-scope Secret clearance (or higher)Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System, MES, and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN signature is a plus.Salary Range: $155,400.00 - $233,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
