Staff Machine Learning Ops Engineer

Key skills include data analysis techniques (e.g., A/B testing, association rule learning, cluster analysis, pattern recognition and predictive modeling), data analysis and visualization software (e.g., Domo, Looker, PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, SiSense), object-oriented programming languages (Java, Python, R, Ruby, Scala, C++) and/or data engineering skills (relational or NoSQL databases, ETL tools). **Key Responsibilities:** + Design the architecture of complex Data/ ML solutions, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals + Drive the technical roadmap, making strategic decisions about tools, technologies, and methodologies + Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns across the engineering team + Mentor and guide engineers at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development + Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications, ensuring they meet high standards for performance and reliability + Implement and advocate for best practices in security, ensuring applications are secure and compliant with relevant regulations + Maintain comprehensive documentation for product design, development processes, and deployment procedures + Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts ensuring clarity and understanding to create data products **Required Qualifications:** + 8+ years of Data & Analytics, specializing in the design and development of Data & ML pipelines and/or platforms + 8+ years of experience with Python & SQL programming language + 7+ years of experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering and model evaluation + 6+ years of experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure) + 6+ years of experience working with machine learning concepts and workflows **Preferred Qualifications:** + Hands-on experience working in scalable distributed computation frameworks like Spark or Dask. + Hands-on experience in Model Training, batch and real time Inferencing solutions leveraging Python libraries such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, Scikit-Learn, Keras, and/or XGBoost. + Familiarity with working in Dev/ML Ops model and industry deployment best practices using CI/CD tools and infrastructure as a code (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes). + Experience within an IT infrastructure domain and familiarity with telemetry/log data and concepts is highly desirable. + Expertise with working with open-source ML platforms & toolsets such as kubeflow, Airflow and Feast is preferred. + Experience implementing or maintaining Feature Stores. + Advanced SQL skills for complex query writing, optimization, and database management. + Experience in deploying supervised machine learning, time series modeling, CNNs, ensemble models. + Experience in handling data and model drift including model monitoring. + Experience with online model inference. + Exposure to deploying ML optimization models such as Pyomo/ IPOPT. + Exposure in implementing Gen AI and/or NLP based solutions using LLMs. + Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. **Pay Range** The typical pay range for this role is: $118,450.00 - $236,900.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
