Summary About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), CERL EXECUTIVE OFFICE, MANAGEMENT INTEGRATION OFFICE. Responsibilities Compose correspondence or memos relating to personnel issues or actions for management approval. Explain personnel requirements in discussions with management and peers. Respond to various point of contacts on questions in an organized manner. Solicit input from team members and research staff on unliquidated obligation reviews, of contractual, government order and training obligations Participate willingly and effectively on team assignments and projects. Adapt to changes in workload caused by changes in procedures or staff realignment Evaluate need to re-prioritize workload tasks. Adapt to work with tight deadlines Operate personnel and training systems such as: Civilian Personnel Online (CPOL), Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS), AUTONOA, Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATTRS) etc. Operate a financial accounting system such as: Corps of Engineers Financial Management System needed for business operations Work with a manpower document such as: an Integrated Manning Document. Prepare Military Interdepartmental Orders for Student and outreach programs Monitor contracts with special emphasis on student and outreach programs. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes Analyzing problems to identify significant factors; Gathering pertinent data and providing solutions;Planning and/or organizing various work; and Providing advice and/or assistance to various contacts. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DJ-01 (GS-04). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Adaptability Applies Technology to Tasks Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Teamwork Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent DJ 01 (GS-04).
