The Staff Marketing Data Analyst will sit within AppFolio’s Marketing Operations team and will play a pivotal role in illuminating marketing’s impact on business outcomes.  This critical role will focus on showcasing marketing’s return on investment (ROI), identifying actionable insights, and driving strategic decision-making by partnering with leaders across Marketing, Sales, Services, and Finance.As a Staff Marketing Data Analyst, you will develop and deliver best-in-class, in-depth business insights, create compelling data visualizations, and build automation solutions to optimize marketing performance and influence growth strategies.Your impactPerform regular analyses and build dashboards to provide insights to individual marketing teams and the Marketing Leadership Team.Proactively identify trends and opportunities to enhance Go-To-Market funnel performance.Design and implement reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make data-driven decisions.Build, monitor, and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure, control, and improve reporting processes.Conduct deep dives into data through tools like Snowflake and Salesforce, leveraging SQL and business intelligence tools to generate actionable insights.Provide executive leader with insights and strategic recommendations to drive business impact.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data requirements. Use metrics to identify trends, inform decisions, and recommend strategies that enhance Go-To-Market performance and business outcomes.Partner with Revenue and Finance teams to align on marketing ROI, attribution models, and pipeline forecasting.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, economics, computer science, business, analytics, or a related field; an MBA or a related Master’s degree is a plus.6+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and marketing performance optimization, with extensive hands-on experience in SQL, Snowflake, and Salesforce for data extraction and analysis.Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, extensive experience using Excel or Google Sheets, and familiarity with Python or R are strong pluses.Demonstrated ability to deliver business insights through data visualization and analytics.Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment.Strong business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.Adaptable and comfortable working in environments with ambiguity and shifting priorities.Experience in B2B industries and a deep understanding of marketing funnels, impact modelers, and customer journey analytics are strongly preferred.A self-starter who thrives in dynamic and ever-changing environments.A collaborative team player with exceptional problem-solving skills.A strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging data to drive impactful decisions.

 

Compensation & BenefitsThe base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $125,600 - $157,000The actual base salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc. Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
