One of our most challenging new fields is Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA), which combines the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop radical new energy-efficient computing systems. MDA is seeking a Staff Mission Assurance Systems Engineer with demonstrated ability to lead development of new technologies to support our innovative MDA team in support of emerging supercomputing technologies.

This position will serve 100% on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:​

Establish and provide Mission Assurance oversight of production processes and supporting activities​Assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements in accordance with contractual requirements.​Develops, implementation and maintenance of Mission Assurance policies and procedures​Leads a team of quality engineers and analysts in ensuring product quality. ​Recruits, trains and mentors the next generation of engineers and analysts. ​Recommends and supports corrective action where necessary. ​Manage resource logistics and execution.​

Basic Qualifications for Staff Mission Assurance Systems Engineer: ​

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 12 years of related experience, or 10 years with a Master's Degree, or 8 years with a PhD.Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams (IPTs)​Understanding and experience with Continuous Improvement concepts, processes, and tools​Knowledge base in Root Cause Analysis tools,​Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices​Ability to communicate effectively​Must be a US CitizenCandidate must be able to obtain a CI Poly as part of their clearance per business requirementsClearance: Candidate must currently have and be able to maintain an Active DOD TS/SCI Clearance

Preferred Qualifications for Staff Mission Assurance Systems Engineer: ​

Experience with a large system-of-systems air, space or ground system development program​Experience presenting to customers​Understanding of system of system architecture designs the interplay between various partners, customers and products​

Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
