The MASC team is responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art modeling tools and model-based development workflow that are used by Carrier global engineering centers for Carrier’s air-conditioning and refrigeration component and system design. **Key Responsibilities:** As a (Staff Modeling Engineer), you’ll be responsible for: + Provide heat transfer and thermodynamics expertise in the development of next generation high efficiency and environmentally friendly HVAC/R systems + Develop and execute detailed project plans. + Lead air-conditioning and refrigeration component/system modeling tasks including model requirement development, model test plan creation and model verification & validation. + Propose new projects with necessary supporting material **Requirements** We are looking for people who are MS degree or above. As a minimum you must have: + MS degree or above in thermal, refrigeration and air-conditioning or fluid machinery with 8+ year experience (MS) and 4+ year experience (PhD). + Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics and numerical analysis + Modeling experience of 1D thermal fluid systems. + Programming experience in Modelica languages. + Engineering experience in design or application of HVAC/R or Power plant equipment. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to collaborate across functions.
