Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Staff Nurse for Rutgers Student Health. The Staff Nurse reports directly to the Nurse Supervisor and provides direct primary nursing care to the patients in collaboration with all Rutgers Student Health (RSH) healthcare team members.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Collaborates in interdisciplinary meetings and educational programs as a planner, provider, participant, and evaluator. Participates in community, departmental, and university wide outreach events and programs such as vaccination clinics, TB testing clinics, student programs/tabling events. Collects accurate data pertinent to the health of the patient in an organized and systematic manner by use of interview, observation, physical assessment, and review of records. All relevant collected data are documented in electronic health record (EHR) and conveyed to collaborating healthcare team members in a HIPAA compliant manner for best coordination of care. Assesses data collected and prioritize nursing care based upon the needs of the patient. Coordinates, reassess, and adjusts plan of care with the clinicians as necessary. Collaborates with all healthcare team members in formulating a plan of care with specific goals and interventions for the patient. Assesses the patient holistically to identify medical and psychosocial needs. Identifies and provide referrals to patients of available programs as appropriate. Executes clinicians’ orders per Nursing Practice Act.
