*_SUMMARY:_* We are currently seeking a*Staff Nurse*to join our Emergency Department. This position is a *0.6 FTE (6 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Nights and Every Other Weekend.* *A sign-on bonus ($8,000.00) is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).* *RESPONSIBILITIES:* Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: * Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health * Preventing illness and injury * Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response * Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others * Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care ** *QUALIFICATIONS:* Minimum Qualifications: * o 1 year of current ED professional nursing (RN) experience - or - * o and/ or ICU (including neonatal/ pediatric ICU) professional nursing (RN) experience - or - · 2 years of current Med/Surg professional nursing (RN) experience * Current ACLS and BLS certifications * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in area of clinical specialty * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged.
