Staff Nurse - Stress Lab

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient needs utilizing nursing process during stress testing, cardioversions, tilt tables, and transesophageal echos.  Actively participates in providing patient care as defined by multidisciplinary plan of care.  Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients from pediatric to geriatric populations with diverse cultural backgrounds. The RN not only provides nursing care to all patients but also prepares patient for stress test, applies electrodes, and performs the stress test by operating the equipment to acquire the stress test.


 

Qualifications: Requires RN with current SC license.  Must be BLS/ACLS certified and proficient in IV access skills. A minimum of two years critical care experience preferred. Cardiac experience a plus. ADN candidates must be enrolled in a BSN program within 18 months from date of hire and are required to obtain BSN within four (4) years of date of hire. For current AnMed Health Associate Degree Nurses (ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, and already working as an acute care Staff Nurse as of that date, the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years will be waived.
