+ DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS + Responsible for the timely and accurate verification of all medication orders and safely prepares medications and other pharmaceuticals for dispensing to patients of BMC, its clinics and all eligible employees. Researches, educates and communicates drug information to physicians, house staff, nurses, other healthcare providers and patients/families. Is knowledgeable of automated medication dispensing process/reports and adheres to all applicable departmental and hospital policies/procedures. + POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) + Experience: + 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred + Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred + Education and Training: + Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college or pharmacy. + License, Certification & Registration: + MAPHARM - Licensed MA Pharmacist. + Other Requirements: + + Knowledge of and skill in the use of a personal computer + Skill in good oral, written and interpersonal communication + Ability to work efficiently under pressure + Ability to work independently and take initiative + Ability to set priorities and use good judgment + Ability to multitask various job duties and responsibilities
