Staff Product Manager

General Summary:

As a member of the QCT tools team, you will be expected to develop strategy, create roadmaps and manage the development of usability and differentiation. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with customers and multiple engineering teams to drive features into product. She/he will need to understand business dynamics as well as key technology trends in order to drive plans 3-24 months out. The primary objective for this position is to track industry and consumer trends in the market, digest partner needs, understand Qualcomm capabilities and create a plan for evolving Qualcomm products.

**Position requires to be onsite in San Diego full time.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

•    3+ years of working in a large matrixed organization.

•    2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

•    2+ years of negotiating 3rd party business agreements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:  

Understanding of cloud-based technologies. Having a working knowledge of billing, authentication, and orchestration is strongly desired.An ability to supervise web user experience and a good feel for software developers as customers of a product.Experience with open source tool chainsExperience with Industry standards for Compute, IOT, Auto, Mobile tool chainsExperience driving a roadmap and software schedules.A good understanding of Software as a Service platforms.Capacity to adapt to evolving environmentsThe ability to manage change and desire to operate effectively across organizations and partnersExcellent project management skills and an ability to meet or exceed deadlinesDeep ability to create and manage software process and projectsAbility to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally & externallyDemonstrated leadership skills with multi-disciplinary teamsGood communication and interpersonal skills

Level of Responsibility:   

Definition and creation of product requirements for key new features and differentiators.Interface with customers, sales team, product development and engineering to drive adoption of features.Manage messaging to explain QCT tools capabilities to customers.Work with customers to drive adoption of QCT tools. Collect feedback on market needs and triage issues affecting adoption of tool chain.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$179,200.00 - $268,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
