The Staff Product Manager, often referred to as a Program Manager or Senior Program Manager, is a crucial role in many organizations, particularly in the technology and project management sectors. This role involves overseeing and managing complex projects and programs, typically within a larger organization.

Program Management: Manage and oversee a program from inception to completion. This involves defining the program's goals, scope, budget, and timeline.Cross-Functional Leadership: Work with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, marketers, and other stakeholders. Provide leadership, ensure clear communication, and keep everyone aligned with the program's objectives.Strategic Planning: Create a strategic plan for the program. This includes setting goals, outlining key milestones, and determining the best approach to achieve the program's objectives.Budget Management: Manage the budget for the program, which includes resource allocation and tracking expenses to ensure the program stays within budget.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges that may affect the program and developing strategies to mitigate them, including contingency planning.Stakeholder Communication: Keep stakeholders informed about the program's progress, changes, and any issues that may arise.Quality Assurance: Ensure that the program delivers the desired outcomes with high quality. Establish and monitor quality standards.Timeline Management: Manage the program's timeline to ensure that it stays on track and meets its deadlines.Evaluation and Reporting: Regularly assess the program's performance and create reports for management and stakeholders to track progress and make informed decisions.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and refining project management methodologies.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or Electrical/Electrons Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

Experience in taking a program from ideation to execution and successful delivery.Demonstrated ability to build out and establish an agile digital product practice in collaboration with UX and EngineeringFluent in navigating Atlassian products, such as JIRA for ticket workflow and Confluence for documentation and requirements gathering, etc.Excellent technical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including an engaging presentation styleExperience in communication to VP and C+ level:  Tech, Business, Finance/Corp

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

10+ years of progressively responsible program management experience in a related industry (digital / ecommerce is preferred)Experience leading multi-month/multi-year projects through full development cycle, with history of successful and on-time deliverablesExperience in project management (Agile or Waterfall)Solid understanding of design patterns, Java, OSS and Cloud technologies

Exceptional customer service, listening, problem-solving and interpersonal skills to communicate with multiple teams and stakeholdersSolid understanding of how core technologies are utilized in their product domainFluency in pros and cons of technical alternatives
